President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has approved over 30 decisions on the appointment of new Ukrainian Ambassadors.
He said this in his traditional evening video address.
"Today [December 20], with our diplomatic team, we have approved the list of new Ukrainian Ambassadors. I have approved more than 30 decisions. Among them are Nariman Dzhelyal - to Turkey, Aliona Hetmanchuk - as Ukraine's representative to NATO, Andrii Melnyk - as Ukraine's representative to the UN and others. These and other decrees will be issued soon, in accordance with diplomatic procedures," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, as a result of the russian missile attack on Kyiv on Friday, December 20, the embassies of 6 countries were damaged: Albania, Argentina, Palestine, North Macedonia, Portugal and Montenegro. Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhii Tykhyi called the strike by the aggressor country of russia on diplomatic institutions a barbaric attack.
It was previously reported that Australia decided to restore full operation of the embassy in Ukraine.
