An explosion occurred at the Ostafyevo airfield (moscow oblast), as a result of which an An-72 military transport aircraft was disabled.
The Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has announced this on Telegram.
"On December 12, 2024, an explosion occurred at the ostafyevo airfield in the moscow oblast - the main power plant of the An-72 military transport aircraft, which belonged to the navy of the aggressor state russia, detonated," the report says.
The estimated cost of the disabled russian aircraft is about USD 4.5 million.
"The Defense Intelligence reminds that for every war crime committed against the Ukrainian people, there will be fair retribution," the press service added.
Recall that in November, a russian Mi-24 attack helicopter was burned in the moscow oblast.
Earlier, Deputy General Designer, Head of the Software Department of the Mars Design Bureau, Mikhail Shatsky, was liquidated in moscow. He was involved in the modernization of the Kh-59 cruise missiles to the Kh-69 level and the development of new drones to kill Ukrainians.
