Rada allows to receive compensation for housing in occupied territories without photo-recording of damage

The Verkhovna Rada allowed to receive compensation for housing in occupied territories without photo-recording of damage.

The corresponding bill (No. 11161) was adopted by the parliament as a whole.

The head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Organization of State Power, Regional Development, Local Self-Government and Urban Planning, the head of the Servant of the People party, Olena Shuliak, announced this on her Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"The Rada has adopted bill No. 11161, which opens up the possibility of receiving compensation under the e-Vidnovlennia program for housing on TOT," she wrote.

According to her, now: compensation can be received without mandatory photo- or video-recording of damage, physical inspection of the property has been canceled, applications are submitted according to a simplified procedure with a minimum of documents.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, an additional UAH 15 billion for compensation for damaged and destroyed housing for internally displaced persons (IDPs) under the state assistance program for the restoration of damaged housing e-Vidnovlennia will become available in January 2025.
