Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk expects the Cabinet of Ministers to implement the parliament's decision to introduce the bill on demobilization.
He said this at a briefing, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"I am waiting for the implementation of the decision of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine," he said regarding the government's obligation to introduce the bill on mobilization.
The Speaker emphasized that his position is that Ukraine should not make the mistakes that were made in 1919 (when Ukrainian statehood was lost).
"(To do) the main thing in order to keep our state, our country. Sometimes, it seems to me that behind all this political performance, these cries, we are rushing madly not to 2025, but to 1919," he explained.
According to the Speaker of the Rada, history never forgives a wasted chance.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Stefanchuk reacted to putin's statement about negotiations and compromises regarding the war.
