The International Monetary Fund will consider another review of the program for Ukraine on December 20.
This is stated on the IMF website, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
This will be the 6th review of the cooperation program.
At the same time, MP Danylo Hetmantsev noted on the Telegram channel that the agenda will also include approval of Ukraine's request to modify the performance criteria and review the program's financing guarantees.
There will also apparently be additions to the structural beacons under the EFF program.
Given the staff-level agreement (SLA) approved in November, Ukraine is counting on a positive decision and the allocation of the next tranche in the amount of USD 1.1 billion.
After that, the total financing under the EFF program will reach USD 9.8 billion.
As for the prospects for 2025, according to the updated schedule, program reviews will take place with the same regularity as before - once a quarter.
Therefore, there will be 4 reviews in 2025.
The nearest one is in March 2025.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on March 31, 2023, the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund approved a four-year Extended Fund Facility for Ukraine.
The program is being implemented in two stages (war and post-war) and provides access to credit funds from the IMF in the amount of SDR 11.6 billion (equivalent to USD 15.6 billion).
Tranches under the program are provided based on the results of reviews.
In 2023, Ukraine received three tranches from the IMF for a total of SDR 3.3 billion (equivalent to USD 4.5 billion).
In total, in 2024, the government has the opportunity to receive four tranches from the IMF for a total of SDR 4 billion (equivalent to USD 5.4 billion).
In April, the state budget of Ukraine received the second tranche of transitional financing in the amount of EUR 1.5 billion under the European Union's Ukraine Facility.
