On the night of Thursday, December 19, the occupation country of the russian federation struck with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the temporarily occupied Crimea and the Rostov Oblast (russia), a Kh-59/69 guided aerial missile from the airspace of the Kursk Oblast (russia), and 85 Shahed attack UAVs and drones of other types from the areas of the cities of Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, and Oryol (russia).
This is stated in the message of the Air Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
To repel the air attack, aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and the Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved.
As of 8:30 a.m., it was confirmed that 45 Shahed attack UAVs and other types of drones were shot down in the Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk and Mykolaiv Regions.
As a result of active countermeasures by the Defense Forces, 40 enemy simulator drones were lost in location (without negative consequences).
As a result of the missile strike, private, apartment buildings and municipal property in the Sumy and Dnipropetrovsk Regions were damaged. No victims or casualties were reported.
No UAV hits were recorded, and no information was received about damage or casualties.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on December 17, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 1,580 russian occupiers, as well as 4 tanks, 5 artillery systems, 2 units of enemy special equipment, and 21 armored combat vehicles. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the aggressor state russia has lost over 766,000 of personnel.
