Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Shmyhal noted that this is the second regular payment allocated by the European Commission within the framework of this instrument.
This year's total assistance under the Ukraine Facility initiative is EUR 16.1 billion. In total, it is planned to provide Ukraine with EUR 50 billion.
The program will operate from 2024 to 2027.
Shmyhal thanked the EU for its unwavering support for Ukraine, which is of great importance for strengthening the country's economic stability and transformation on the path to full EU membership.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on December 9, the Council of the European Union approved the allocation of EUR 4 billion in loans and grants to Ukraine within the framework of the Ukraine Facility financial instrument.
Earlier, EUR 12.1 billion had already been allocated to the state budget of Ukraine within the framework of the Ukraine Facility.
