A total of 254,288 individual entrepreneurs have ceased their activities since the beginning of 2024. It is noted that the largest number of closures occurred in March - 28,690. At the same time, surges were also observed at the end of the reporting periods.
It is indicated that this is explained by the desire of entrepreneurs to avoid unnecessary tax obligations and simplify accounting.
"A significant role in the surge in closures of individual entrepreneurs in the fall was played by the adoption of the law on increasing taxes. Some entrepreneurs consider the new taxes unfair, while officials emphasize low rates compared to the EU," the monitoring noted.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the law on increasing taxes came into force on December 1.
