With the last massive attack, russia wanted to completely disconnect energy systems of Ukraine and Europe - Ukrenergo

The last massive attack was specifically directed at the facilities of the interstate energy infrastructure in order to maximally reduce the export-import capabilities of our country and disconnect the energy systems of Ukraine and Europe.

This was stated at a briefing by Yurii Boiko, a member of the supervisory board of NEC Ukrenergo.

It is reported that this attack was specifically directed at the facilities of the interstate energy infrastructure in order to maximally reduce the export-import capabilities of our country.

"Traditionally, key energy infrastructure facilities, both in terms of transmission and electricity production, were under attack," Boiko added.

According to him, among the characteristic moments of the last attack, "it was an attack on the network infrastructure, which is directly involved in export-import operations between the systems of Ukraine and European neighbors."

The enemy tried to minimize the possibility of attracting imports, and ideally to achieve the disconnection of the Ukrainian system from the European energy system.

Regarding the restoration of damaged facilities and the mitigation of power outage schedules, Boiko noted that consumers will soon "feel the results of the colossal efforts of energy workers."

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in the meantime, new hourly power outage schedules were applied last day.

We will remind you that in order to introduce the same principles for applying hourly power outage schedules in all regions of Ukraine, Ukrenergo updated the "Instructions on the preparation and application of hourly power outage schedules."
