The Ministry of Defense has codified and approved the use of the new Ukrainian-made SOVA 10 drone in the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
The Ministry of Defense has announced this, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
It is noted that this strike drone can carry a combat load of several kilograms and operate in various weather conditions at a wide range of air temperatures.
"Each new model is manufactured taking into account the technical recommendations of the military," said Deputy Defense Minister Dmytro Klimenkov.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on December 13, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced that the Ministry of Defense is allocating an additional UAH 1.1 billion for the procurement of drones. In total, this month the Ministry of Defense will directly transfer UAH 4.3 billion to military brigades. Over 11 months, such direct funding amounted to UAH 27.2 billion, of which UAH 8.8 billion was spent on the procurement of drones, and UAH 1.5 billion on electronic security equipment.
In November, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy instructed Defense Minister Rustem Umerov to increase orders for Ukrainian drones for military operations.
