Today, December 15, at 5:30 a.m. on the Ternopil - Lviv - Rava-Ruska highway near the village of Chyzhykiv, Lviv District, a large-scale road accident occurred. Seven people were killed and three were injured.
This is stated in a report by the Lviv Region Police.
According to preliminary data, a collision occurred between three vehicles: a BMW car, a DAF road train, and a Mercedes Sprinter minibus.

Seven people were killed on the spot by the received injuries - passengers of a Mercedes Sprinter minibus, whose data is being clarified. In addition, three people were injured - a 45-year-old truck driver, a 39-year-old minibus driver and his 23-year-old passenger. They were hospitalized in medical institutions in Lviv - diagnoses are being established.
Law enforcement officers opened criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Article 286 (Violation of road traffic safety rules or transport operation by persons driving vehicles) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The sanction of the article provides for a penalty of imprisonment for a term of three to eight years with or without deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
A pre-trial investigation is underway.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the number of road accidents with victims has increased in Ukraine.
