The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi has visited the soldiers of the 38th separate marine brigade on the Pokrovsk axis, where fierce battles are ongoing.
He wrote about this on his page on Facebook, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"At the moment, battles are ongoing on the Pokrovsk axis with an enemy superior, primarily in manpower. We have to make unconventional decisions to increase the stability of the defense and more effectively destroy the occupiers," wrote the Commander-in-Chief.
According to him, the russian occupiers are throwing all available forces forward, trying to break through the defense of the Ukrainian troops.
"In such conditions, our main task is to strengthen the defense, in particular, to provide the units with a sufficient amount of ammunition and their constant transportation. I listened to information on the existing problems and gave the appropriate orders," Syrskyi added.
He stressed that Ukrainian soldiers are showing extraordinary resilience and inflicting significant losses on the enemy.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on December 10, 208 combat clashes took place at the front, with the enemy most actively advancing on the Pokrovsk (53 clashes) and Kurakhove (45 clashes) axes.
