Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha will visit Germany on Thursday, December 12, to discuss further support for Ukraine in countering russian aggression, increasing the cost of war for the aggressor, and ways to achieve a just and sustainable peace.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced this, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
It is noted that Sybiha is visiting Germany at the invitation of German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock.
In Berlin, Sybiha will take part in negotiations with the foreign ministers of Italy, Spain, Germany, Poland, and France, the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom, and the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Kaja Kallas.
"The ministers will discuss further support for Ukraine in countering Russian aggression, increasing the price of war for the aggressor, and ways to achieve a comprehensive, just, and sustainable peace," the statement said.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on December 11, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy criticized a call by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to the leader of the aggressor country, russia, vladimir putin, regarding peace talks. At the same time, Zelenskyy expressed gratitude to the U.S. President-elect Donald Trump and many European leaders, with whom, according to him, Ukraine is already working together to find the right and strong solutions for the sake of real peace.
