As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on November 29, the Cabinet of Ministers, by order No. 1191, agreed with the proposal of the Ministry of Defense to delegate to the Administration of the State Border Guard Service the authority to purchase defense goods worth UAH 23 billion for the needs of the Defense Forces with the subsequent transfer of the goods to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The State Border Guard Service explained the delegation of authority to it to carry out defense procurements for UAH 23 billion by the fact that the agency received proposals for the possibility of purchasing a number of items needed to provide the Defense Forces.

After that, the Defense Procurement Agency stated that it planned to send the UAH 23 billion transferred to the State Border Guard Service to finance already prepared state contracts for the purchase of critical ammunition for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and now the Agency has appealed to the Ministry of Defense with a request to allocate additional funding for the urgent conclusion and financing of the developed state contracts.
