Overnight into Monday, December 9, russian troops launched 2 guided aerial missiles and 37 drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 2 missiles and 18 drones, 18 more drones were lost in location.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
It is noted that on the night of December 9 (from 07:30 p.m. on December 8), the enemy attacked with two guided aerial missiles from the airspace over the Black Sea, 37 Shahed attack UAVs and drones of other types (launch areas: Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk - russia).
"As of 08:00 a.m., units of the anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine shot down two Kh-59/69 guided aerial missiles and 18 enemy UAVs in the Sumy, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Chernihiv, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Rivne, Ternopil and Odesa Regions," the report says.
18 drones were lost in location, one remains in the air, combat operations are ongoing.
Due to the fall of the downed enemy UAVs in the Vinnytsia Region, the infrastructure of several private enterprises was damaged.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of December 7, russian troops fired a missile at the Sumy Region, and also launched 14 drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 7 drones.
