NBU fines PrivatBank for UAH 10 million and 2 other banks and 2 financial companies in November for violations of financial monitoring

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) applied measures of influence to three banks and two non-bank financial institutions in November 2024 for violations of legislation in the field of prevention and counteraction to the legalization (laundering) of proceeds from crime, financing of terrorism and financing of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.

This is stated in the NBU's message, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The measures of influence were applied to: JSC Bank Alliance - a fine of UAH 15.051 million; CB PrivatBank - a fine of UAH 10 million; JSC ASVIO Bank - a fine of UAH 2.449 million; LLC WAY FOR PAY - a fine of UAH 15.354 million; PrJSC UFG - a fine of UAH 255,000.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in October, 1 new player appeared on the non-banking financial services market, 30 institutions were removed from the registers.

The number of participants in the non-banking financial market in October decreased from 926 (as of October 1, 2024) to 897 (as of November 1, 2024), the number of banks remained unchanged - 62.
