About 80,000 US troops deployed in Europe to deter russian aggression – President Biden

About 80,000 U.S. troops are deployed in European NATO countries to support U.S. allies and deter further russian aggression.

This is stated in a letter from U.S. President Joe Biden to the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the President of the Senate regarding the report on military powers released by the White House.

The letter states that "in furtherance of counterterrorism efforts, the United States continues to work with partners around the globe."

"In this context, the United States has deployed forces to conduct counterterrorism operations and to advise, assist, and accompany security forces of select foreign partners on counterterrorism operations," the document emphasizes.
