10 people killed, 24 injured in russian airstrike on Zaporizhzhia – SESU

Rescuers have completed the emergency rescue operation after the russian airstrike on Zaporizhzhia on December 6; ten people were killed in enemy shelling, 24 more were injured, including three children.

The State Emergency Service (SESU) and the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov informed about this on the Telegram channels, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

 "Rescuers have completed emergency rescue operations in Zaporizhzhia. As a result of the airstrike, 10 people were killed, 8 of whom were in cars.

The number of injured has increased to 24, including three children: a four-month-old baby, 4 and 11 years old," the SESU said.

32 rescuers and 8 pieces of equipment were involved in clearing the rubble.

In turn, Fedorov noted that 12 victims of the enemy strike are currently in hospitals.

Three men are in serious condition, three children are in moderate condition.

Medics are providing all necessary assistance to the victims.

The head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration also reported that on Saturday a Day of Mourning was declared in the Zaporizhzhia Region for those killed as a result of russian shelling.

"Zaporizhzhia lost 10 of its residents. The cynical strike of a terrorist country took their lives. Unspeakable pain. My sincere condolences to the families of the killed and wounded," he wrote.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on December 6, at around 6:00 p.m., the russian army carried out an airstrike on one of the districts of Zaporizhzhia.

The enemy attack completely destroyed the car repair complex, damaged nearby shops, high-rise buildings, and other infrastructure.
