Syrskyi names AFU main task in Kursk Oblast

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi reported that he worked in the brigades that are fighting in the Kursk Axis and noted that the main task now is to strengthen the resilience of the defense, inflict maximum losses on the enemy.

Syrskyi announced this on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"I worked in the brigades that are fighting in the Kursk Axis. The work, both at the control points and directly on the battlefield, continues almost around the clock. Our soldiers effectively and systematically destroy the enemy advancing with superior forces. Now our main task is to strengthen the resilience of the defense, inflict maximum losses on the enemy, prepare reserves, ensure uninterrupted supply of ammunition and other material and technical means to units and subdivisions," he said.

Syrskyi noted that his work was devoted to solving these issues, among others.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in late November, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy informed French President Emmanuel Macron that russian dictator vladimir putin had instructed troops to capture Pokrovsk in the Donetsk Region and advance to the borders of the Kursk Oblast of the russian federation, for which the russian group in the Kursk Oblast was increased to 60,000.

On August 6, the Defense Forces of Ukraine began an offensive operation in the Kursk Axis.

On November 6, Syrskyi reported that over the three months of the operation of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk Oblast, the russians had lost almost 21,000 soldiers.
