Elon Musk spends over USD 250 million on Trump's election campaign

Billionaire Elon Musk has spent more than USD 250 million on Donald Trump's presidential campaign in recent months.

This is reported by The New York Times.

Through his organization America PAC, Musk wrote three checks for USD 25 million to his organization.

During that period, he also spent USD 40.5 million on controversial sweepstakes among voters in Pennsylvania who signed a petition to protect the First and Second Amendments to the US Constitution. These amendments concern freedom of speech and the right to own weapons.

After the election, Musk transferred another USD 4 million to Donald Trump's needs through America PAC.

Thanks to his financial assistance, Elon Musk has received the right to be close to Donald Trump. Insiders claim that he can allegedly influence personnel decisions and is making plans to reduce the federal government. It is planned that Musk, together with another billionaire - Vivek Ramaswamy - will head a new government department.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, after Donald Trump's election victory, his entourage began to say that billionaire Elon Musk is too close to the new president and is openly annoying Trump's associates.

Senators Jeanne Shaheen and Jack Reed from the US Democratic Party called on the Department of Defense and the Department of Justice to investigate billionaire Elon Musk's contacts with the russian authorities, in particular with president vladimir putin.
