Russian army suffers record-breaking losses in November - British intelligence

In November 2024, the average daily losses of russians - killed and wounded - in the war in Ukraine reached a new monthly maximum for the entire war. The level of losses reflects the higher pace of russian operations and offensive actions.

This was reported by the UK Ministry of Defense.

Thus, the average daily loss rate was 1,523 people, according to the Ukrainian General Staff.

"This is the third month in a row that russian troops have suffered new record average daily losses. On November 28, a new war record was also recorded - 2,030 losses in one day, the first time more than 2,000 losses were reported," the agency said.

In addition, November 2024 was probably the most expensive month of the war for russia: according to the Ukrainian General Staff, the losses amounted to 45,680 people. In October 2024, 41,980 russian casualties were recorded. November was the fifth consecutive month that russian forces experienced an increase in monthly overall casualties.

"The high level of casualties likely reflects the higher pace of russian operations and offensive actions. Russia is attempting to increase pressure on Ukrainian positions, seeking to push back Ukrainian forces on several fronts, including Kursk, Kupyansk, Toretsk, Pokrovsk, and Velyka Novosylka," the intelligence agency explained.

It states that in December 2024, despite the onset of winter, the number of russian casualties will most likely continue to exceed 1,000 people per day, and motorized infantry attacks will continue on several fronts.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the losses of russian troops on December 4 increased by 1,580 to 749,980 people, and Ukrainian defenders also destroyed 13 tanks, 22 armored combat vehicles, and 21 artillery systems over the past day.
