Netherlands allocates additional EUR 22 million for Ukraine's air defense and cybersecurity

Dutch Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp announced that the Netherlands is allocating an additional EUR 22 million for Ukraine's air defense and cyber resilience through NATO.

He reported this on the X social network.

"At yesterday's meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council, I also emphasized the importance of strengthening Ukraine's military potential. The Netherlands is allocating an additional EUR 22 million for projects aimed at Ukraine's air defense and cyber resilience through NATO," the message says.

Veldkamp stressed that russia's actions directly threaten NATO - with its massive buildup of military presence, airspace incursions and sabotage. At a meeting in Brussels, he stressed that NATO must step up efforts to counter this reckless and destabilizing behavior.

"We should be equally concerned that third countries are contributing to the russian military machine. This requires a more decisive and coordinated response from NATO and its members. Above all, we must continue our course in support of Ukraine. There is simply no alternative," he added.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the NATO chief said that the Alliance would provide Ukraine with the air defense systems requested by the Foreign Ministry.
