In November 2024 the total volume of trading on the PFTS stock exchange amounted to UAH 50.6 billion (89% of the level of the previous month) or 77% of the total volume of trades of securities trading organizers in Ukraine.
This follows from a statement by the exchange, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
In the first eleven months of 2024, the total volume of trading on the PFTS amounted to UAH 456.3 billion (156% of the level of the same period in 2023), or 71% of the total volume of trading by securities trading organizers in Ukraine.
In the structure of trades for November, the share of government bonds of Ukraine was 81% (UAH 41 billion or 82% of the previous month's level), currency swaps - 11.9% (UAH 6 billion or 137% of the previous month's level), bonds of foreign countries - 6.4% (UAH 3.3 billion or 116% of the previous month's level), corporate bonds of Ukrainian issuers - 0.4% (UAH 0.2 billion or 386% of the level of the previous month), securities of collective investment institutions - 0.3% (UAH 0.2 billion or 86% of the level of the previous month), shares of foreign issuers - 0.0006% (UAH 0.3 million or 5% of the previous month's level), and shares of Ukrainian issuers – 0.00003% (UAH 0.02 million or 3% of the previous month's level).
In November, 9.3% of transactions were concluded on the "order market", 83.5% of transactions on the "quotation market" (including address transactions), 4.9% of transactions in the REPO and REPO "with risk control" modes, 2.2% of transactions in the SWAP "with risk control" mode, and 0.04% of transactions in the unilateral auction mode.
In November 2024, 41 trading participants concluded transactions with 93 securities issues (46 government domestic loan bonds, 9 government foreign loan bonds, 9 corporate bonds of Ukrainian issuers, 17 foreign bonds, 5 securities of collective investment institutions, 6 shares of foreign issuers, 1 share of Ukrainian issuers).
In the first eleven months of 2024, a total of 51 bidders entered into agreements with 203 issues of securities (government domestic loan bonds - 74, government foreign loan bonds - 19, corporate bonds of Ukrainian issuers - 18, municipal bonds - 1, bonds of foreign countries - 40, shares of Ukrainian issuers - 8, securities of collective investment institutions - 7, bonds of foreign issuers - 2, shares of foreign issuers - 34).
From June 17, 2024, trading in currency swaps began in the PFTS trading system.
In November, agreements were concluded with currency swaps "US dollar - Ukrainian hryvnia" (ticker: USDUAH) and for the first time with currency swaps "euro - Ukrainian hryvnia" (ticker: EURUAH).
The total volume of trades in the specified swaps amounted to UAH 6 billion (11.9% of the total volume of trades or 137% of the previous month's level).
In November, another public placement of corporate bonds took place on the PFTS.
100,000 units of interest-bearing registered ordinary unsecured bonds of series I of PTK LLC "Agromat" (ISIN - UAT000014337) were placed with a nominal value of UAH 1,000 with a maturity date of 11/16/2027.
The interest rate on the bonds for 1-4 percent periods is set at 16.35% per annum.
Among the 46 issues of government bonds with which transactions were concluded in November, 2 issues have maturity dates in 2024 (UAH 0.5 billion), 20 issues have maturity dates in 2025 (UAH 22.9 billion), 12 issues have maturity dates in 2026 (UAH 5.9 billion), 10 issues have maturity dates in 2027 (UAH 7.2 billion) and 2 issues have maturity dates in 2028 (UAH 4.5 billion).
From July 26, 2022, trading of government domestic loan bonds denominated in a foreign currency in the nominal currency began on the PFTS.
In November 2024, the volume of exchange contracts with domestic government loan bonds executed in the nominal currency amounted to USD 63.6 million and EUR 6.4 million (5.8% of the total trading volume).
As of December 1, 2024, the number of members of PFTS Stock Exchange JSC admitted to trading was 52: 30 banks and 22 financial companies.
A total of 413 issues of securities were admitted to trading on PFTS Stock Exchange JSC, of which 113 issues of securities were in the Exchange Register.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in October 2024, the total volume of trading on the PFTS stock exchange amounted to UAH 57.2 billion (112% of the level of the previous month) or 83% of the total volume of trades of securities trading organizers in Ukraine.
The PFTS index has been the official index of Ukraine in S&P Emerging Markets since 1997.
