The total public (direct and guaranteed) debt of Ukraine in October compared to the previous month decreased by 0.2%, or by USD 0.32 billion, to USD 155.37 billion.
This is stated in the data of the Ministry of Finance, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The public and state-guaranteed debt at the end of October amounted to UAH 6,413.57 billion, or USD 155.37 billion, against UAH 6,404 billion, or USD 155.56 billion, a month earlier.
The total amount of direct public debt as of the reporting date amounted to UAH 6,134.58 billion (USD 148.61 billion) against UAH 6,117.02 billion (USD 148.59 billion) a month earlier.
At the same time, direct external debt decreased from USD 106.72 billion to USD 105.90 billion for the month.
Direct domestic debt increased in hryvnia equivalent from USD 1,723.81 billion to USD 1,762.97 billion (in dollar equivalent - from USD 42 billion to USD 42.71 billion).
State-guaranteed debt at the end of the reporting month amounted to USD 278.99 billion, or USD 6.76 billion.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Ukraine's total state (direct and guaranteed) debt for 2023 increased by 30.4% or USD 33.87 billion to a record-breaking USD 145.32 billion.
In 2022, total state debt increased by USD 13.39 billion, or 13.66%, to USD 111.34 billion.
In 2021, the national debt increased by 8.52%, or USD 7.69 billion, to USD 97.95 billion.
In 2020, the total national debt increased by 6.9%, from USD 84.4 billion to USD 90.3 billion.
