In 2025, the European Union plans to provide Ukraine with EUR 1.5 billion per month from the proceeds from frozen russian assets.

President of the European Council António Costa has announced this during a joint press conference with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in Kyiv.

"This month, the European Union will provide Ukraine with an additional €4.2 billion to support the Ukrainian budget. In addition, starting next month, we will provide €1.5 billion every month for another year. These funds come from frozen Russian assets and can also be used for military purposes," - the President of the European Council.

Among other things, Costa also noted that Europe will continue to put pressure on the economy of the aggressor country, russia, in order to weaken its ability to wage war. According to him, the European Union is preparing the 15th package of sanctions.
