Poland will build Eastern Shield fortifications not only on the border with russia and Belarus, but also on the border with Ukraine.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has stated this, according to the portal of the Polish radio broadcaster Polskie Radio.
Poland is cooperating with the Baltic countries to ensure that the defense infrastructure is effective along the entire border with russia and Belarus. According to the Prime Minister, the construction of the Eastern Shield will help several voivodeships ensure greater security. These are the Warmian-Masurian, Podlaskie, Lublin and Podkarpackie voivodeships.
"The better the Polish border is protected, the more difficult it will be for those with bad intentions to reach it," Tusk stressed.
But in addition to building fortifications near russia and Belarus, Poland will secure the border with Ukraine.
"Our activities will also concern the security of the border with Ukraine - for other reasons, but we want Poles to feel safer along the entire length of the eastern border," the prime minister added.
