Zelenskyy's trust rating falling: analysts name reasons - The Times

The rating of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has decreased significantly. In recent months, it has continued to fall noticeably.

The British publication The Times reports this.

Journalists note that, according to polls, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, whom Zelenskyy relieved in February after rumors of disagreements over the conduct of the war, is now the most trusted person in Ukraine.

Although he has not openly declared any political ambitions, his appointment to a diplomatic post in London was seen by many analysts as an attempt by Zelenskyy to push Zaluzhnyi into the background.

"It is very difficult to be a popular president when you have been in a full-scale war for three years. People are tired, and almost everyone has someone they have lost. This is a huge challenge for Zelenskyy," said Oleksandra Ustinova, a member of the Ukrainian parliament.

The publication notes that Zelenskyy's popularity could fall even further if he continues to follow Washington's suggestion that Ukraine should start sending young people to the front.
