The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Andrii Kovalenko noted that on the night of Saturday, November 30, drones attacked the port of Kaspiysk in Dagestan for the second time. It is located more than 1 thousand kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
"I note that the port in Kaspiysk serves as an important base for the Russian Caspian Flotilla and various military units of the Russian Armed Forces," Kovalenko emphasized in Telegram.
According to him, this port is also located along the routes that Iran uses to supply weapons to the russian federation.
In the morning, the head of Dagestan Sergey Melikov said that UAVs attacked facilities in Kaspiysk. The airport in Makhachkala was closed.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on November 6, the occupiers also informed about an attack by drones on Kaspiysk. The port where russian Navy ships are based was hit by drone strikes.
