The kremlin agent network is shaking up the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and trying to remove its chief, Kyrylo Budanov, with the help of its agents.
The first head of the Defense Intelligence in 1992-1997, former deputy head of the SSU, honorary chairman of the Union of Officers of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Oleksandr Skipalskyi, has stated this in an interview with OBOZ.UA.
"If Russia manages to shake up the situation in the election in the U.S., in Europe, then imagine what influence it can still have on Ukraine, where, due to the historical past, historical connections, etc., it knows everything here. And this influence is clearly visible. What do you think is the structure in Russia that is most sensitive to Russia? Most of all, military intelligence. The agent network works, after 5-10 broadcasts there is someone who will believe in the correctness of the message and start making statements that, they say, it is necessary to change the structure of the Defense Intelligence and deal a devastating blow to the military intelligence system," Skipalskyi emphasized.
He expressed his belief that Budanov, as the head of the Defense Intelligence, is in his place.
"I saw the first wave in the media that was made regarding Kyrylo Budanov. In my opinion, this is a person who is in place. It is such a young combat general in wartime that should head such an important structure as the Defense Intelligence. But because he is young and has achievements, he causes envy. They say, how is it that Budanov is being praised, and I, also a general, am not taken into account. Added to this is the political image syndrome. And this is a very threatening trend, this cannot be allowed," the first head of intelligence warned. "President Zelenskyy made the right statement - that Budanov is in place today, Budanov is working. And I think that is how it should be." According to the head of the Officers' Union, Ukrainian military intelligence is built on the principles of American military intelligence and some European countries - it is a structure that does not provide for totalitarian influence.
"As a person who participated in laying the foundations on which Ukrainian military intelligence successfully performs its tasks, I have the moral right to say: hands off the Defense Intelligence and Kyrylo Budanov," stated Oleksandr Skipalskyi.
