The law on increasing taxes will come into force on December 1.
Danylo Hetmantsev, a Member of the Verkhovna Rada from the Servant of the People faction, head of the parliamentary committee on finance, tax and customs policy, announced this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"A sleepless night, and there is a result - the resource law will come into force on December 1, 2024. It will be published accordingly on November 30," he wrote.
Hetmantsev called the previous publication of the law a "printer's error," due to which it was supposed to come into force today, November 29, and the new military duty rate was supposed to last only 2 days in November.
"Common sense has won," Hetmantsev commented on the law coming into force on December 1 instead of November 29.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on November 28, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed the law on increasing taxes.
Details of the law:
- increase in military duty from 1.5% to 5%, except for the military;
- military duty in the amount of 1% of income for individual entrepreneurs of the 3rd group;
- military duty for individual entrepreneurs paying a single tax of groups 1, 2 and 4 at the level of 10% of the minimum wage;
- setting the corporate income tax rate for non-bank financial institutions at the level of 25%;
- monthly submission of personal income tax reporting (for economic booking);
- 50% of bank profit tax based on the results of 2024.
