Partners to allocate EUR 12.6 billion, USD 10.7 billion and GBP 3 billion for military assistance to Ukraine in 2025 - Umerov

Partners will allocate EUR 12.6 billion, USD 10.7 billion and GBP 3 billion for military assistance to Ukraine in 2025.

Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced this on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Umerov noted that, as a result of numerous meetings and negotiations held during the fall, Ukraine has a result that will be used to provide the Defense Forces in 2025.

He named the key results that will strengthen Ukraine's position in 2025:

Baltic countries: Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia will allocate 0.25% of GDP to support Ukraine;

Great Britain: allocates GBP 3 billion each year until 2031;

Denmark: EUR 8.7 billion by 2028, in 2025 military aid will amount to EUR 2.2 billion, including joint projects and investments under the "Danish model 2.0";

EU: at the beginning of the year we will receive the second tranche of military aid worth EUR 1.9 billion, these funds will be used to purchase ammunition, air defense systems, missiles and support our defense industry;

NATO: up to EUR 500 million as part of the Alliance's Comprehensive Assistance Package for Ukraine for 2025;

Netherlands: EUR 4 billion for the period 2024-2026;

Germany: EUR 4 billion of direct military aid;

Norway: increases support to NOK 30 billion (USD 2.7 billion);

USA: allocated USD 5.5 billion in military aid;

Sweden: a three-year framework program of SEK 75 billion (USD 7.5 billion), or USD 2.5 billion annually.

Umerov also noted that one example of new alliances is the Northern Group + Ukraine coalition: 12 countries - Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland and the United Kingdom - are joining forces to strengthen Ukraine's security.

In addition, Ukraine continues to actively work within the framework of coalitions of capabilities in the Ramstein format.

Umerov also noted successes in the development of the Ukrainian defense industry.

"We have already created conditions for: the production of long-range missiles and drones; the production of 155-mm ammunition; the localization of the production of air defense systems, missiles, heavy armored vehicles and artillery; the development of robotic complexes, electronic warfare systems and radars," he said.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on November 27, Umerov reported that, on behalf of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, he held talks with the South Korean leadership and believes that his arguments about the need to increase cooperation between Ukraine and South Korea will lead to a significant strengthening of security.
