A russian lieutenant general has been served with suspicion for ordering attacks on Kyiv, in particular, the Okhmatdyt children's hospital.
This was reported by the Prosecutor General's Office.
The investigation established that on the orders of the suspect, on June 26, 2022, the enemy launched missile strikes on the civilian population of the capital. Strategic air-launched cruise missiles Kh-101 hit the apartment building of the Lvivskyi Kvartal residential complex.
"As a result of the shelling, a man was killed and three more people were injured, including a 7-year-old girl. A significant number of apartments and non-residential premises were completely destroyed and damaged, and parked cars were destroyed and damaged," the report says.
Subsequently, this lieutenant general gave the order to carry out a missile strike on the medical building of the National Children's Hospital Okhmatdyt in Kyiv on July 8, 2024. In connection with this fact, he was also served with suspicion of violating the laws and customs of war.
As we recall, the SSU previously reported that the suspect is lieutenant general Sergey Kobylash, who at that time held the position of Commander of Long-Range Aviation of the Air Force of the Aerospace Forces of the russian federation, and later, after the said strike, was promoted and appointed Commander of the Air Force of the russian federation.
