Ukraine positively assessed the signing of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon, which was concluded through the mediation of the United States and France.
This was reported by the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine.
The department noted that the agreement was an important step towards establishing peace and stability in the region, which will contribute to "preventing a humanitarian catastrophe in Lebanon and the overall reduction of tension in the Middle East."
"We are convinced that full compliance by the parties with the obligations they have undertaken will be important for achieving lasting peace," the Foreign Ministry added.
As a reminder, Israel has begun preparations to build a 309-kilometer fence on the border with Jordan.
On November 21, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. Israel called the ICC warrants "anti-Semitic."
Netanyahu had previously criticized the administration's and US President Joe Biden's judgment and policies regarding the war against Iran and its proxy forces.
