On December 1, passenger cars and city passenger transport will be allowed to use the Podilskyi Bridge over the Dnieper River. This decision was supported by the Kyiv Defense Council.
This was announced by the mayor of the capital, Vitali Klitschko.
The passage will also be through a newly built tunnel that connects the bridge with the exit to Petra Vershyhory Street in the direction of Romana Shukhevycha Avenue and the Troyeshchyna residential area.
The Podilsko-Voskresenskyi Bridge will remain closed for heavy goods vehicles for the time being.
As of today, only special vehicles and passenger buses on route No. 111 are allowed to use the bridge.
The landscaping and arrangement of the adjacent territory near the newly built tunnel will be completed by the end of the year - without interfering with traffic.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the State Fiscal Service in Kyiv is investigating criminal proceedings on suspicion of tax evasion in the amount of UAH 9 million against individuals from a private enterprise that carried out construction work on the Podilskyi Bridge crossing over the Dnieper River in Kyiv.
