The First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska, in an exclusive interview with Italian presenter Bruno Vespa, for the first time in a long time, frankly spoke about the life of the Ukrainian President's family in conditions of full-scale war. The Ukrainian translation of the interview was published on the page of the Office of the President on YouTube.
The main topic of the conversation was the life of the President's family during the full-scale russian aggression.
"It was not easy. And it will not be until we see our victory. However, we are trying to view these 1000 days as 1000 days of resilience, endurance, and work for victory," the First Lady emphasized.
The aspect of family security was especially important in the conversation. Olena Zelenska confirmed that the children - 20-year-old daughter Oleksandra and 11-year-old son Kyrylo - are constantly in Ukraine, in particular in Kyiv, and have not traveled abroad since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. At the same time, she deliberately avoided detailed stories about the children, explaining this by security considerations.
The First Lady spoke restrainedly about personal meetings with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, noting that she sometimes sees her husband at work.
As previously reported, Olena Zelenska held a meeting with Pope Francis.
