The aggressor country of russia has deployed almost 580,000 military personnel in the war against Ukraine on its territory.
Such data was announced by the Deputy Head of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Major General Vadym Skibitskyi, on the sidelines of the expert discussion "The Genocidal Practices of the RF in Ukraine: from the Holodomor to the russian-Ukrainian War", Ukrinform reports.
"Almost 580,000 is the ground component that directly participates in the hostilities," he said.
Skibitskyi clarified that this includes the military in the Kursk Oblast. In addition, to date, a group of russian Guard troops of almost 35,000 servicemen has been deployed in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
