On November 22, the Ukrenergo national energy company appointed Vitalii Zaichenko as a board member.
The company has said this in a statement, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
" Vitalii Zaichenko started working at Ukrenergo back in the 1990s, and worked his way up from an engineer to the chief dispatcher of the unified power system (since 2015). In 2022, literally on the first day of the full-scale Russian invasion, it was his professional skills that helped first transfer the Ukrainian power system to an isolated operating mode, and then connect it to the European power system. At the same time, the final disconnection from the Russian and Belarusian networks took place," the statement says.
It is noted that the area of responsibility of the new board member is the centralized operational and technological management of the Unified Energy System of Ukraine, coordination of its parallel work with the energy association ENTSO-E.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on September 2, by decision of the supervisory board of NPC Ukrenergo, the head of the company, Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, was dismissed from his position.
