President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that negotiations on the first cluster of EU accession will take place in early 2025.
He said this at the presentation of the Resilience Plan in the Verkhovna Rada, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"Already in early 2025, we are preparing to open negotiations on the first cluster. I thank the entire team for their work. The second and all other clusters without delay. Ukraine should become the fastest in joining the EU, and therefore everyone in Ukraine should be the fastest in adopting and implementing relevant decisions that transform us, the Ukrainian state," the head of state said.
According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine has now achieved the greatest level of closeness to the EU and NATO in the entire time of independence.
Zelenskyy said that as of now, all the necessary architecture for the negotiation process with the EU has been formed and the screening procedure for Ukrainian legislation on European integration will soon be completed.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that in Ukraine, all people must "plow", work every day for the stability of the state.
