On the night of Tuesday, November 19, russian troops launched 87 drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to destroy 51 drones, 30 enemy UAVs were lost in location.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
It is noted that on the night of November 19 (from 07:30 p.m. on November 18), the enemy attacked Ukraine with 87 Shahed attack UAVs and unmanned drones of an unidentified type from the Kursk, Oryol (both - russian federation) and Crimea areas.
"As of 09:00 a.m., the shooting down of 51 enemy UAVs in the Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv Regions has been confirmed. As a result of active countermeasures, 30 enemy UAVs were lost in different regions," the message says.
One UAV is still in Ukrainian airspace, combat operations are ongoing.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of November 18, the russians launched 11 drones over the territory of Ukraine, and also attacked the Sumy Region with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and a Kh-59 guided missile, the air defense forces shot down 8 UAVs.
