The Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has revealed the components of another russian drone called Gerbera. The aggressor country russia builds such multi-purpose UAVs at a factory in the city of Yelabuga.
According to intelligence sources, Gerbera can carry a combat unit as a kamikaze and carry out radio-electronic reconnaissance, in particular, to detect air defense positions and record the hits of other strike drones. This UAV imitates the Shahed-136/Geran-2 and is widely used by the russian federation to overload Ukrainian air defenses.
Due to the use of simple materials (plywood, foam), Gerbera is ten times cheaper than Shahed/Geran. However, the structure of this UAV contains a set of components of foreign manufacturers, which is already common for russian weapons.
"Investigations of the downed samples proved that the Russians are manufacturing Gerberas according to the Chinese prototype using foreign components imported from China," the intelligence officers emphasized.

The developer of the UAV is the Chinese model aircraft manufacturer Skywalker Technology Co., Ltd., which also produces fuselages and organizes deliveries of kits to russia. Delivery is carried out through third-party companies.
The Gerbera's interference-protected antenna (CRPA) contains chips from Analog Devices and Texas Instruments (U.S.), NXP Semiconductors (Netherlands).
The universal flight controller also includes components manufactured by Texas Instruments, Atmel (U.S.), STMicroelectronics, U-Blox (Switzerland), NXP Semiconductors (Netherlands), XLSEMI (China).
For targeting by the pilot (according to the FPV-drone principle) of the barrage version of the UAV and conducting aerial reconnaissance, the Gerbera is equipped with a Chinese camera with a three-axis suspension Topotek KHY10S90 and a Xingkai Tech Mesh Network XK-F358 modem.
The DLE60 engine is manufactured by the Chinese Mile Hao Xiang Technology Co, Ltd. In the summer of 2024, this company came under U.S. sanctions for supplies to russia.
The DLE55RA drone engine is also manufactured by the Chinese company Mile Hao Xiang Technology Co, Ltd.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the aggressor country russia increased the intensity of drone attacks on Ukraine by approximately 44% after the victory of Donald Trump in the U.S. election.
