GDP grows by 4.2% over 10M, 2024 - Economy Ministry

According to the results of 10 months of 2024, the Ukrainian economy grew by 4.2%.

This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Economy with reference to the First Deputy Minister of Economy Oleksii Sobolev, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"Thanks to the implementation of recovery programs and increased demand for construction work, the construction industry continues to demonstrate upward dynamics. Among the drivers of the country's economic growth is also transport, primarily thanks to the stable operation of the grain corridor. Finally, the demand for the products of the processing industry, in particular the military industry sector, determines the growth in this industry," said Oleksii Sobolev.

GDP growth in October 2024 to October 2023 is recorded at the level of 1.3%.

Transport, processing and construction continued to demonstrate high positive dynamics.

At the same time, there was a decline in agriculture.

The reason is the early harvest this year: by October, farmers had already finished harvesting some agricultural crops.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in September 2024, GDP growth was recorded at 3.8%, and in nine months - 4.5%, which is generally in line with the updated government forecast.
