The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has created a new system of intellectual property protection and patenting of military technologies.
This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov.
The head of the defense department believes that thanks to this, clear rules of cooperation with Ukrainian and international partners have appeared, and innovations are now protected by patents.
"The future of war and defense is not only the power of weapons, but also the power of innovation. It is important not only to create new technologies, but also to form a stable system that protects and supports their development," the Minister noted.
"For our partners, this system is a signal that Ukraine is ready for responsible cooperation. Their technologies are protected with us, and the support of the defense sector gives them guarantees of development and security," the official stated.
According to him, an example of such an approach is the patent for the FPV-drone detector "Vitriak-M" developed by the Center for Scaling of Technologies of the Ministry of Defense. This development, according to the Minister, helps the Armed Forces of Ukraine detect enemy drones and warn of their approach.
"Thus, patenting is a feeling of protection of the developments of our inventors, the confidence of partners and the foundation of a new defense culture, where every discovery becomes a step towards victory," added Rustem Umerov.
