Borrell informs EU member states about China's first arms supply to russia

China's first supply of weapons to russia for use against Ukraine was recorded by intelligence. This was announced by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell to the member states of Europe.

This was reported by the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.

Borrell said the evidence of arms shipments by China was "convincing" and proved "providing lethal support" to russia and called for retaliatory measures, saying all available tools, including sanctions, needed to be considered.

"Now we have to consider the whole toolkit," the diplomat stressed, adding that the EU has new lists leading to bans on doing business with Chinese companies, asset and entry bans.

In addition, Borrell emphasized the need for direct dialogue with China, highlighting the discrepancy between Beijing's declared neutrality and russia's actual support.

According to another source, Europe's reaction will depend on how China reacts to the results of the investigation. The debate on sanctions is still in its early stages.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China reacted to the results of the US presidential election and announced "peaceful coexistence".

The US is negotiating with China so that it may force the DPRK to stop sending troops to the russian federation.
