Ihor Siryk, former deputy and well-known Poltava developer, died in road accident in Tunisia

Ihor Siryk, a well-known developer from Poltava, owner of Novos Development Group, died in Tunisia as a result of a road accident. He was also a member of the Poltava Regional Council of three convocations.

The website of the Poltava Regional Council reports on the businessman's death.

"The leadership, the deputy corps and the executive apparatus of the Poltava Regional Council are deeply saddened to announce the death of Ihor Volodymyrovych Siryk, a member of the regional council of several convocations," the message reads.

It is noted that Siryk was elected a member of the Poltava Regional Council of three convocations: the fifth (2006-2010), the sixth (2010-2015) and the seventh (2015-2020). During the last convocation, he headed the permanent commission on issues of housing and communal services, energy saving, construction, transport and communication. The deputy represents the Batkivshchyna party.

At the same time, the local publication Zmist, citing unnamed sources close to the deceased, notes that after the accident, doctors fought for the businessman's life, but the injuries turned fatal. The reasons for the accident are currently unknown.

Ihor Siryk was 55 years old at the time of the accident.

As previously reported, at the beginning of November, a member of the Kyiv City Council, Serhii Mamoyan, died in a road accident.
