On Wednesday, November 13, capacity restrictions for business and industrial consumers are temporarily implemented.
The press service of the Ukrenergo national energy company announced this, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"The reason (of the restriction of consumption): a short-term decrease in the capacity of shunting generation and a significant decrease in the volume of electricity imports," the message says.
Restrictions will apply throughout the day.
In the evening, after eliminating comments on the operation of the equipment, the restrictions are promised to be lifted.
Ukrenergo emphasized that no restrictions are foreseen for household consumers.
"We ask you to use electricity rationally, especially during the hours of maximum consumption. We call on businesses to more actively import electricity for their own needs in order to avoid forced capacity restrictions," the company added.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, electricity consumption is increasing in Ukraine due to the cold weather.
Due to a massive missile attack on the morning of Wednesday, November 13, Kyiv may introduce electricity blackout schedules.
