Ukrainians turn on sound of air alert before Navalnaya's speech in Lisbon and prevent russian from speaking

Ukrainian activists disrupted the speech of russian Yulia Navalnaya at the Web Summit 2024 conference in Lisbon. At the same time, they turned on the sound of the air alert alarm, which silenced the microphones.

Blogger Khrystyna Zhuk told about it, sharing a video from the event.

On the footage, you can hear the sound of an air alert alarm sounding in the conference pavilion. In another video, activists shout "Stop russia" and "Stop the War".

"A Ukrainian woman took the stage, our voice was heard. Citizens of the 404 country should know that this is what awaits them in any corner of the world," the activist wrote.

Navalnaya's speech at the web summit was interrupted, thanks to all Ukrainians, who joined the action.

Judging by posts on social networks, Navalnaya was invited to the conference because she is allegedly a "powerful voice for democracy and human rights." Navalnaya was scheduled to speak on two panels: "Dictators and Digital Dissent" and "Resisting Autocrats".

So far, the organizers of the conference have not reacted in any way to the disruption of the russian woman's performance. Navalnaya herself has not yet reacted to the event.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in March, the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska refused to attend US President Joe Biden's address "On the state of affairs in the country" due to the presence there of Yulia Navalnaya, the wife of the recently deceased russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny.
