The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) and the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) are conducting searches in several regional prosecutor's offices, hospitals, and medical and social expert commissions (MSEC), where the facts of issuing certificates with signs of falsification were discovered.
This was announced in the Prosecutor General's Office, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Medical documentation and personal files that could serve as evidence in the investigation were seized.
Work is ongoing to establish the chains of the persons involved.
The criminal proceedings are being investigated under Part 4 of Article 27, Part 2 of Article 358, Part 4 of Article 358, Part 3 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor General's Office.
The pre-trial investigation is carried out by the SBI, operational support is carried out by the SBI and the SSU.
Comprehensive investigative (search) actions include questioning witnesses and checking the legality of medical reports on the basis of which disability groups were established.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the SSU and the police detained the head of the MSEC in the Kirovohrad Region, who demanded a bribe from a paralyzed soldier. The Security Service of Ukraine exposed a rehabilitation doctor, who helped men of draft age evade mobilization.
