Russians kill civilian in occupied village in Donetsk Region - Prosecutor General's Office

Russian invaders allegedly killed a civilian in the village of Novooleksiyivka (Donetsk Region).

This was reported by the Prosecutor General's Office.

"On November 11, 2024, one of the Telegram channels published information about the alleged murder of a civilian committed by representatives of the armed forces of the russian federation in the Pokrovsk district. According to the media, this crime took place after the capture of the village of Novooleksiyivka, which is located near the town of Selydove," the message says.

The published photos show the body of a man lying on the road next to destroyed private houses affected by hostilities.

Currently, urgent investigative actions and investigative measures are being carried out to verify information, establish all the circumstances of the event and identify the victim of the occupiers.

The Pokrovsk district prosecutor's office started a pre-trial investigation into the fact of a war crime that resulted in the death of a person (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the russians damaged the dam of the Kurakhove reservoir, the water level in the river rose by 1.2 m.
