The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi held a monthly meeting with the commanders of unmanned systems units.
The general announced this on Facebook.
"The development of unmanned and robotic systems, increasing the combat capabilities of UAV units and subdivisions is one of the key priorities in our activities," he emphasized.
The Commander-in-Chief also informs that he listened to the report of the Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Vadym Sukharevskyi, about the formation of units and the results of the use of drones in the areas of combat missions.
"The participants of the meeting shared the experience of effective use of drones in various conditions, the use of interceptor drones, the execution of missions over a long distance in the conditions of countermeasures by the enemy's electronic warfare equipment and many other important issues," the message reads.
As noted, special attention was paid to the implementation of the latest developments, as well as new approaches and tactics in the use of UAVs.
"The technologies of unmanned systems are developing rapidly, and we must be one step ahead of the enemy. I thanked the commanders of the combat units of unmanned systems and their subordinates for their stability and effectiveness. Special gratitude to the crews of the 414th Regiment of the Unmanned Systems Forces, 412th Battalion of the Unmanned Systems Forces, who demonstrate a high level of professionalism and efficiency.
Despite the difficult weather conditions, units of unmanned systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine generally continue to demonstrate high efficiency on the battlefield. Unmanned aviation complexes - strike drones-bombers - proved to be the most effective. Their operators have completed more than 7,000 missions," Syrskyi emphasizes.
In addition, he emphasizes that in October, more than 52,000 enemy targets were destroyed and hit as a result of drone combat sorties.
"Of them, the following targets deserve special attention: 129 artillery systems, 221 units of enemy radio equipment and more than 4,000 enemy personnel," the Commander-in-Chief summarizes.
