Zelenskyy did not feel despair after phone conversation with Trump - Axios

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy did not have a feeling of despair after his phone conversation with Donald Trump, who won the U.S. presidential election the day before.

Axios announced this with reference to its own sources, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

The interlocutors of the publication said that the conversation lasted about 25 minutes. After Zelenskyy congratulated Trump, the president-elect said he would support Ukraine, but he did not go into details.

Three sources said Zelenskyy believed the conversation went well and that it did not increase Kyiv's concerns about Trump's election victory.

Zelenskyy did not have a feeling of despair, said one of the newspaper's interlocutors.

According to Axios' sources, Zelenskyy and Trump did not touch on topics such as the U.S. president-elect's alleged plan to end the war or the prospects for further U.S. aid to Ukraine.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on Wednesday, November 6, Zelenskyy congratulated Trump on his victory in the U.S. presidential election.

The next day, November 7, Zelenskyy and Trump spoke by phone, agreeing on a close dialogue and development of cooperation.
